There's no doubt about it, Montana is experiencing skyrocketing housing costs. While there are a number of factors that have contributed to Montana's housing crisis, one thing in particular has had an outsized impact: overly strict zoning regulations. The starter homes that enabled previous generations to become homeowners have been effectively made illegal across large swaths of Montana communities.
