Duffy Claims Gas Prices Will Fall Immediately After Hormuz Reopens

U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said on Sunday that gasoline prices should begin to decline “immediately” once shipping resumes through the Strait of Hormuz, pushing back against analyst warnings that relief for consumers could take months.
Duffy, speaking on ABC’s “This Week” program on May 3, acknowledged that prices may take time to return to pre-war levels but said reopening the critical oil transit chokepoint would quickly ease pressure at the pump.

Trevor Milton's unsuccessful defamation case against CNBC and Hindenburg Research has ended with another costly setback for the disgraced Nikola founder.
A New Jersey judge ordered the Nikola founder to reimburse CNBC $286,087 in attorneys' fees and litigation expenses after Milton ultimately lost his appeal. Hindenburg Research will also be reimbursed by Milton to the tune of $270,475 in fees, costs of $14,053 and $10,992 in other fees, according to the order, made available on Monday.
